Very fun to fly! Battery doesn't last long but it's so small that's expected. Camera is ok but the price is right.

The JJRC H37 quadcopter by LHI is pretty awesome. Yes, it flies using the app on your cell phone (once downloaded and installed) and I prefer using a transmitter, but for what you get with portability and easy setup and operation, it’s worth the trade-off to use and fly this quadcopter when you need it. #ad I won’t say this is my daily go to quadcopter, but it has its time and place like everything else. This folds up and is very light weight and makes it very easy to shove in a pocket or bag and carry with you when you leave the house or are going somewhere. This comes with a velvet carrying bag with a drawstring to carry this around with and store all the parts that come with it, which include 4 extra props and the battery charger. The camera looks to be a 0.3 MP camera capable of shooting 720p. Not the greatest, but still holds detail and isn’t grainy looking and some people can’t tell the difference between 720p and 1080p anyway. The attached video has some video in from the drone camera in it. This has three speeds at 30, 60 and 100% and with this being so lightweight, you need to be at 100% if there is any wind out in order to control this and fight the wind. The altitude hold on this (without GPS) is spot on and holds very well. It may float side to side but holds the altitude. The yaw and pitch on this are also pretty good and reactive and actually has some pretty good range on it for a WIFI drone. You connect your phone to the drone WIFI, start the app and connect the app to the drone and away you go. The controls take a little getting used to and if you play games on your phone, should be no problem for you at all. This does have one touch, takeoff and landing and will also autoland when the battery gets too low, so it doesn’t fall out of the sky and crash, nice feature. This also can be flown using the gyros on your phone and you can fly this by tilting your phone side to side and forwards and backward instead of using the on-screen controls. This also has a 360 button on it to allow you to do flips. It's not great at flipping but it does work, but it loses a lot of altitude, so you need to be up high enough not to crash it into the ground when you do it. It's a selfie drone and not a sport drone, so I wouldn't expect much in flips. The lights on this (front white and back red) are very bright and easy to see and make this great for flying at nighttime as well. Overall, nice portable and foldable quadcopter that takes decent pictures and videos (you’re not making a movie here) and flies pretty decently. No Fly away tip: Turn off your mobile data on your phone/tablet and go into your settings and tell it to forget any WIFI connection you may have in the area you are flying this at the time. You do not want the WIFI to drop the connection to the drone and connect to another WIFI while you are flying this or you will lose connection to the drone and may get a fly away drone and possible lose it forever

The price is too high. I bought this product on Banggood for $35.00, other than that, I like the product. The only thing is it doesn't do well in the wind.

Marked as fitting an iPad mini 4, which it does... sort of. It's an extreme fit and the side has to be slightly canted to make it fit. There is no extra room or give on the iPad mini 4. Otherwise, it does what it was designed to do.

First and foremost, this is a $40 drone so expectations should be in that price range. I've played around with a couple of cheap drones but this is my favorite due to altitude hold . With altitude hold most of the thinking is done for you. Set the height and just steer :). Secondly, using your phone as a controller and its built-in gyroscope, you simply tilt you phone the way you want the drone to fly - very easy once you get the hang of it. Thirdly, headless mode lets you fly the drone left to left, and right to right, whether its pointing towards you or away from you. These 3 features make this drone a must have . Pros: Very cheap for what you get. Drone, charger, battery, spare blades. Very stable Altitude hold Tilt and steer via phone Headless mode Carrying bag Movies saved to phone immediately Cons: Low resolution images Connected via Wifi so limited range Tricky battery connector All in all, worth every penny. Fun to leave in a camper etc and use it for entertainment on the road.

JJRC H37 Elfie selfie drone Review Equipment Used: -Motorola Moto X Gen 1 In the box: -Quadcopter -USB charger -1S lipo for quadcopter -Small instruction booklet -Soft bag for storage and transport -Set of spare props (4 props) -Screwdriver Pros: -Lightweight -Wi-Fi controlled (no need for separate TX) -LEDs -Camera -Can perform flips -Fairly durable -Foldable arms to help with storage and transport Cons -Lightweight -Wi-Fi controlled (limited range and latency) -Gyro control didn't work for me -Low quality camera -Drifts way too much in a hover -Loses a lot of altitude coming out of a loop -Struggles in winds unless 100% control throw is enabled -My phone couldn't playback the recorded AVI files -Images are saved twice on my phone -Battery compartment door is tough to get locked/unlocked -Pulling on the battery lead to unplug will eventually damage the battery lead -Flip button on app got stuck and quadcopter would constantly flip Unboxing The box is slightly larger than a dollar bill in length and was taped shut. Inside the quadcopter set in a plastic tray. Under the tray was the storage bag, spare props, screwdriver, USB charger, and small instruction manual. The quadcopter was secure and undamaged and the small items were in a self-sealing plastic bag. The arms are folded into the quadcopter and the 1S lipo was installed. I find it very concerning that manufacturers are sending r/c aircraft with lipos installed and connected. An accidental bump that can cause the aircraft to turn on will cause the lipo to puff and possible explode. I'd much rather see safer handling by having the lipo in its own compartment within the box. Charging: The manual states charge time is about 2 hours. This is typical of these little 1S USB chargers. I found the first charge took this long, but after that flying down to LVC (low voltage cutoff) the charge time is closer to an hour. Charging is simple, plug USB charger into the laptop or wall wart, plug battery into the charger. The light on the charger will turn off when done charging. JJRC App The Elfie flies via Wi-Fi controls using the JJRC app. I installed the app via Google Play Store without issue. While the battery charges, be sure to read the manual on the app controls. I found the app to be cluttered on such a small screen. So cluttered that a button icon will hide/expand more buttons and trim tabs. I found I used just a handful of buttons on the app. To use the app first turn on flight sticks by pressing the off/on icon accordingly. This puts sticks and easy throttle controls (start, stop, emergency stop) buttons on the screen. Flight Once charged plug the lipo in accordingly. Press the power button on top of the quadcopter. This will cause the lights on the quadcopter to flash at a fast rate. Now connect your phone to the Wi-Fi signal being broadcast by the Elfie. Open the app and connect. Once the controlling device is connected to the quadcopter, you will see the video feed on the phone via the app. To take off press the up arrow to start the motors then push the left stick up. To land press the down arrow, this will cause a decent and once on the ground stop the motors. To kill the motors instantly, press the red stop sign. The app starts you off in 30% rate mode (as noted by the 30 icon). Pressing the icon will cycle you through 60 and 100% settings. At 30% rating the quadcopter felt lethargic to me and the yaw input seemed very mechanical, so much so I couldn't get the nose to point exactly where I wanted. Being an experienced r/c pilot once I got used to the touch screen sticks I moved up to 100% and was surprised to find the quadcopter to be a little sporty. Since this quadcopter is billed as a selfie drone
