Features:

The HB100 microwave module is a microwave moving object detector designed by Doppler Radar principle. It is mainly used in automatic door control switch, safety protection system, automatic recording control system of ATM automatic teller machine, automatic train signal, etc. place. The HB100 is a standard 10.525 GHz microwave Doppler radar detector. This detection method has the following advantages compared to other detection methods:

1. Non-contact detection;

2, not affected by temperature, humidity, noise, airflow, dust, light, etc., suitable for harsh environments;

3. Strong anti-radio interference capability;

4. The output power is small, which is not harmful to the human body;

5. Long distance: The detection range is more than 20 meters.

Microwave application:

The use of 10.525 GHz microwave has the following advantages compared with the use of lower frequency band wave: 1. The microwave antenna has good directivity when emitted, so it is easy to control the range of the microwave probe. 2. Microwaves are more easily attenuated, absorbed and reflected during transmission. When they encounter obstacles such as walls, they are blocked. Therefore, objects such as walls and other obstructions have little interference.

Power supply: The HB100 is powered by continuous DC power supply (CW) mode and pulsating power supply (PW) mode: HB100 adapts to a voltage range of 5V ± 5%. Typical current is 35mA (typ) when operating in continuous DC power (CW) mode. When operating in low-duty pulse-powered (PW) mode, it is recommended to provide 5V to HB100, pulse width between 5μs and 30μs (typically 20μs), and frequency of 2 to 4kHz (typically 2.0kHz). Pulse powered. The average current of the 3 to 10% duty cycle pulse supply is 1.2 mA to 4 mA.

The pulse supply voltage must be between 4.75V and 5.25V. The flatness of the pulse tip will affect the detection capability of the HB100. When the supply voltage exceeds 5.25V, its reliability is reduced and may result in RF output outside the nominal frequency and permanent damage to the circuit.

RF output: In all recommended modes of operation, the RF power output of the HB100 is very low, working within a safe range that does not pose any hazard to the human body. When operating in continuous DC power (CW) mode, the total output power is less than 15mW. The output power density was 1 mW/cm 2 at 5 mm and 0.72 μW/cm 2 at 1 m. When operating in a 5% duty cycle pulsed mode, the power density was reduced to 50 μW/cm 2 and 0.036 μW/cm 2 , respectively.

IF output: When the object moves radially at a speed of 1 m/s with respect to the antenna surface of the HB100 (the side of the non-aluminum shield is the antenna surface) within the effective detection range of the HB100, the IF output of the HB100 is 72 Hz/ s, the pulsating output frequency of IF is approximately linear with the relative radial movement speed of the object. The output amplitude of IF is related to the size and distance of the object. When a tester with a weight of 70kg and a height of 170cm moves radially at a speed of 1 m/s at a distance of 1 m/s from the HB100, the output of the IF is 5 mV, 72 Hz/s. The pulsating signal, the output amplitude of the IF is approximately inversely proportional to the square of the distance.

Note: 1. The detection range depends on the reflectance and size of the target and the signal to noise ratio.

      The Doppler velocity at 2.10.525 GHz is 31 Hz/m.p.h

      3. The module must be mounted so that the antenna surface (the side of the non-aluminum shield is the antenna surface) faces the detected area, and the user can adjust the direction to achieve the best coverage.
